Ma On Shan's Mystery?

fmd_good Ma On Shan Country Park

I hiked Ma On Shan Country Park last week, amazing views, seriously. But I stumbled on this weird, almost hidden, little shrine halfway up a trail...looked ancient, no info boards or anything. Any… more

Ma On Shan's got a lot of those little shrines tucked away. Most aren't officially documented, honestly. Locals might know, but finding that info is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Probably some ancestor veneration thing, going back centuries. Maybe a small village deity? Without clearer pics or a precise location on the trail (even a general area would help!), it's tough to say more. Think of it as one of Hong Kong's many little secrets. Pretty cool you found it though!

Yeah, that's what I figured. It was so random, just off the path a bit. No signs, nothing. Just... there. I should have taken more pictures, I was so busy trying not to trip over roots and rocks! It was pretty spooky, though, in a cool way. Maybe I'll try to find it again, with a better camera and a map this time. Thanks for the info!

Lost in Cognitio

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to Cognitio College next semester, it's this really old school in @Hong Kong, right near the hills. Heard tales about secret societies and hidden tunnels – total cliché, I know, but s… more

The library at Cognitio is…intense. Think less Hogwarts, more… slightly neglected Victorian-era grandeur. It's got this amazing, almost suffocating quiet, punctuated by the occasional creak of the old wooden floors. Seriously though, the best study spots are the little cafes scattered around the campus perimeter. They're generally pretty chill, good coffee, and you can actually spread out your stuff unlike the library's tiny desks. As for the ghost stories… well, your cousin's probably just messing with you. But hey, a little mystery never hurt anyone. Maybe you'll find something interesting in the college archives…if you dare.

Yeah, the library is intense. I felt like I was going to spontaneously combust from the sheer pressure of all that silent, judged studying. Those little cafes sound way more appealing. Thanks for the tip! My cousin's stories are… embellished, let's say. But the archives… now that's intriguing. Maybe I'll brave them tomorrow. Wish me luck!
