Caritas Bianchi Lodge Quirks?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge last week – pretty decent for the price, especially considering the location. It’s a bit of a hike to get to the MTR, but the views from my window made up fo… more

Hong Kong's old buildings... they're full of surprises. Could be anything from old pipes to electrical wiring, maybe even some kind of ventilation system. I've heard weird noises in places like that before. It's probably nothing to lose sleep over, but if it was seriously unnerving, I can see why you'd ask. Maybe try posting on a Hong Kong forum? You might find someone who's stayed there and has an answer. Or, you know, just chalk it up to local color!

Nah, I've been going to Ming Garden for years – never heard a peep about a secret menu. Maybe it was just a joke between some regulars, or wishful thinking? Their regular menu is already pretty incredible, though. You really got the best Peking duck? Wow. I usually go for the dim sum. Anyway, don't sweat it too much about a secret menu – you already had an amazing meal. Unless you're planning a return trip specifically for jellyfish… then, good luck with that!

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a long shot! Their Peking duck was incredible, easily the best I've ever had. The dim sum was pretty great too, though – maybe next time I'll try to branch out more. Jellyfish? Whoa, okay, maybe I'll stick to the safe options next time! Thanks for the reassurance though, I was starting to feel a little silly about it.
