Union Square's Secret?

fmd_good Union Square

So I'm heading to Union Square in @HongKong next month. Heard it's buzzing, but all the online stuff is just touristy crap. Anyone know any decent, local hole-in-the-wall places around there? Not l… more

Check out the backstreets off Nathan Road, closer to the Kowloon side of Union Square. There's a bunch of little dai pai dongs tucked away – they're not exactly secret, but definitely less crowded than the main drag. Look for the ones with the plastic chairs and handwritten menus. The food is amazing, cheap, and authentic. Also, wander down Temple Street at night – it's a bit touristy, sure, but if you go past the main market area, there are some seriously cool, tiny bars and even some mahjong parlors that give you a real feel for the city. Don't expect perfect English everywhere, but the experience is worth it.

Saint Too Canaan College Mystery

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College next week for a friend's graduation. Heard it's a pretty old school, steeped in history. Anyone know any good ghost stories or urban legends about the plac… more

Old school, huh? Saint Too Canaan College... sounds like the perfect setting for some spooky tales. I've never heard specific ghost stories about that place, but Hong Kong's got a ton of them. You'll probably find more general legends about old schools in the area, if you dig around online a bit. Maybe check local forums or even old newspapers' archives. As for hidden rooms...good luck with that! Old buildings in @Hongkong are often full of surprises, though – unexpected staircases, forgotten wings... you might stumble onto something cool just by exploring. Take lots of pictures! And definitely let us know if you find a shadowy figure in the library... or anything else interesting.
