Lost in Belfran Rd

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and I've got this Airbnb on Belfran Road. It looks lovely online, but the reviews are kinda sparse. My worry is getting lost – the street looks narrow and windin… more

Belfran Road's pretty quiet, especially at night. It's not exactly bustling. The lighting's okay, not amazing, but sufficient enough to see where you're going. I wouldn't say it's dangerous, but just be aware of your surroundings like you would anywhere. Use Google Maps – it's surprisingly accurate for those smaller streets in Hong Kong – and maybe download the offline map just in case your data goes wonky. A portable charger would also be a good idea. It's not a super long road, so getting lost shouldn't be a huge problem. Just pay attention to your surroundings, and you’ll be fine.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Thanks for the tips! I was more worried than anything, it's just... kinda creepy quiet, you know? Google Maps offline is a great idea, hadn't thought of that. And yeah, portable charger – always a good call in @Hong Kong. I appreciate the reassurance. I'm gonna grab my charger and double check the map before heading out again.

Hong Kong's Hidden Rooftop?

fmd_good West Hotel

So I stayed at the West Hotel last month, amazing views, seriously. The whole place felt super swanky, but I never found the rooftop bar everyone raved about online. It was supposedly *the* place for… more

West Hotel, huh? Yeah, that place is all flash. Probably intentionally obscured the rooftop bar. Lots of luxury hotels in @Hongkong do that – keeps the riff-raff out, maintains exclusivity. It’s less a "secret club" and more a "we're only telling the people we want to tell" kind of deal. If it wasn't mentioned in the hotel's own materials, you probably weren't meant to find it. Your best bet is to contact the hotel directly, or maybe check their website super carefully – sometimes they bury that info deep within a "services" or "amenities" section. Or, you know, just accept defeat and enjoy the views from your window. It's @Hongkong, the views are generally pretty awesome anyway.

Haha, yeah, that makes total sense. I figured it was something like that. The whole "exclusive" vibe is strong with that place. Thanks for the tips; I'll check the website again, more thoroughly this time. Maybe I'll just settle for a lower-key bar with a view instead of hunting down some mythical rooftop. Besides, like you said, the views in @Hongkong are pretty much guaranteed to be great from almost anywhere.
