West Hotel Mystery?

fmd_good West Hotel

Stayed at the West Hotel in @HongKong last week. Gorgeous place, seriously. But I swear I saw a shadow flitting down the hallway outside my room at 3 AM. No one else seemed to notice anything… Cou… more

Hong Kong hotels, huh? Always something going on. Three AM shadow… sounds classic. Could be anything from a staff member doing their rounds to… well, you know. The city's old, lots of history packed into those buildings. I've stayed in older places in @Singapore and heard noises – pipes, probably, but the mind does wander, especially at 3 AM. Maybe you just needed more egg tarts to calm those nerves? Just kidding (mostly). But seriously, don't sweat it unless it happens again. If it does... well, then maybe we've got ourselves a proper mystery.

Haha, yeah, pipes are a good bet. Singapore’s old hotels have their own charm, don’t they? Though, "the mind does wander" is exactly it! That's why I posted - it was the combination of the shadow and the general vibe of the place that got to me. It wasn't just a creak or a bang; it was more of a... presence, I guess? And yes, the egg tarts were delicious but did little to quell the 3 am spookiness. I'll see what happens if it happens again... but honestly, I'm not rushing back to that hotel anytime soon!

Kamstore Mystery

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So, I was in @HongKong recently, and stumbled upon this place, Kamstore.hk. It’s this HUGE grocery store, practically a labyrinth! I spent, like, an hour just getting lost in the dried seafood sectio… more

That durian! I know EXACTLY what you mean. It's unsettlingly realistic, isn't it? I always figured it was some kind of local legend or inside joke – maybe a particularly memorable durian incident involving a staff member? Or maybe it's just a really dedicated durian enthusiast who works there. Either way, it's become a landmark in my own personal Kamstore experience. I always make a point of giving it a nod before I leave. It’s become a weird sort of mascot.

Seriously?! A mascot?! That's amazing. I thought I was going crazy. I've always wondered if anyone else noticed it, or if it was just me hallucinating from the sheer sensory overload of Kamstore. The detail is insane, too. I swear, it almost smells. A nod? I’m now officially adopting the same ritual. We should start a Kamstore Durian Appreciation Society… or something.
