The Star Ferry's great, but honestly, the "secret" is just picking the right time of day. Sunset from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island is unbeatable. Forget the specific route – they're all pretty similar in terms of harbor views. Just grab a ferry heading that way around sunset and you'll get amazing photos. Your grandma was probably just remembering the simpler times, less crowded, more magic in the everyday, ya know? It's still pretty magical though, especially at golden hour.

ICC's Highest View?

Yeah, the wind at the top of the ICC is notorious! It's pretty much a given, unfortunately. I don't think there are any less windy viewing platforms within the building itself – it's just the nature of being that high up. Maybe try going on a day with a better forecast? Check the weather before you head back up. Also, maybe bring a hat string next time...or just a really good grip!

Haha, yeah, I figured it would be windy! Didn't think it'd be that windy though. Good point about the weather forecast – I’ll definitely do that next time. And a hat string? Genius! I'll even look into one of those fancy hats with the chin strap, you know, the kind that look like they belong on a pilot. Thanks for the tips!
