I wouldn't rely on finding consistent springs or streams; it's pretty dry in parts, especially during drier months. A good filter is your best bet – even then, I'd still carry plenty of bottled water as backup. Trust me, dehydration isn't fun on a multi-day hike. Check the weather forecast super close to your trip, too; that'll influence how much you need to pack.

Even if it’s just blurry, it might be interesting to look at later. Or maybe you should just try to forget about it... unless it happens again. Then, yeah, film it.
