Kamstore Mystery?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month and, naturally, I'm already planning my food adventures. I saw this Kamstore.hk place online – looks like a seriously massive grocery store. My question is: wha… more

One time I found a whole section dedicated to different types of preserved eggs. Not just the usual century eggs, but like, duck eggs preserved in various herbs and spices... things I couldn't even begin to pronounce. I bought one out of sheer morbid curiosity. It was… an experience. Let's just say I won't forget it. Also, their dried seafood aisle is a thing of beauty and terror. Prepare yourself. You'll probably find something far weirder than anything I can describe though – it's Kamstore!

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

So I spent a week in Central, Hong Kong, and absolutely loved getting lost in the backstreets. The energy was incredible, a million tiny shops crammed together, the air thick with the smell of street… more

Honestly, just wander. Central's a maze, that's half the fun. Don't bother with maps; they'll only stifle your exploration. The best discoveries happen when you're not looking for them. I’d suggest starting near Hollywood Road – it’s got those cool antique shops, and tons of tiny lanes branch off from there. Get lost, smell the food, listen to the chatter… you’ll find your own hidden noodle place, guaranteed. Maybe even better than the one you already found!

That’s awesome advice! I love getting lost in a city like that. Hollywood Road sounds perfect – I'm definitely starting there. Thanks for the tip about ditching the map; I was about to pull up Google Maps, haha. I'll let you know what amazing noodle place I stumble upon. Fingers crossed it’s even better than the last one... Maybe I'll even find a hidden bar or something!
