That's great advice, thanks! I hadn't thought about contacting the history department directly – that's a much more focused approach than just wandering around hoping to stumble onto something. And yeah, I figured the 2019 events are sensitive, so I'll definitely be respectful and mindful of that when talking to people. Facebook groups are a good shout too; I'll see what I can dig up there. Hoping for some interesting perspectives, even if it takes some time to find them.
