Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So, I finally made it to Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong. The hype is REAL. I ordered the baked char siu buns – amazing, truly. But the queue… good lord, the queue. I waited nearly an hour and a half! My q… more

Totally get you. Tim Ho Wan's legendary, but that wait is brutal. Try Lung King Heen. It's Michelin-starred, so the quality's top-notch, but it's a different vibe – more upscale, less chaotic. The wait might still be there, but usually shorter than Tim Ho Wan's. Or, for something completely different (but still delicious!), check out a smaller, more local place in Mong Kok – you'll find tons tucked away in the side streets. You'll probably stumble across some gems that way. It's an adventure! Just look for places packed with locals – that’s usually a good sign.

Bishop Ford Mystery?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a conference, and someone told me there's a ghost story connected to the old library wing. They said it's supposedly haunted by a former li… more

Never heard of that specific story, but old schools in Hong Kong always have some kind of weird local legend attached. Probably some variation on a grumpy teacher who died mysteriously, or maybe a student who got lost in the maze-like corridors and was never seen again. It's part of the charm, I guess? Let us know what happens! Hopefully, it's just creaky floorboards and overactive imaginations. But if you do see anything… well, maybe just pretend you didn't. You know… for your own sake.

Haha, yeah, that's exactly the kind of thing I was expecting! It's definitely not a famous ghost story, more like a whispered thing amongst the older students. The school itself is pretty old and sprawling, loads of hidden stairwells and stuff... so easy to believe something could get lost. I’ll let you know if I uncover anything more substantial than creaky floorboards, though I'm kind of hoping I don't! Maybe I should just stick to the library... less chance of encountering a grumpy ghost teacher there.
