Kowloon Tsai's Secret?

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

I was at Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground last week for a local football match. The atmosphere was electric, way better than any fancy stadium I've been to. But seriously, where do the locals grab a decent… more

Check out the little back alleys near the Prince Edward MTR station. Loads of hole-in-the-wall places there, serving up amazing, cheap eats. Think more noodles and dumplings than sausages, though. You'll find far more variety and probably something less... questionable than those mystery meats. Seriously, wander around a bit; you'll stumble upon something great. Good luck finding a less questionable sausage though, those things are a mystery even to the locals, I think.

Hong Kong's full of weird stuff, especially at night. Maybe he was just a really good magician practicing his disappearing act? Or maybe he's one of those urban explorers who finds secret escape routes. Lots of hidden passageways around those old piers, you know? It's also possible he simply blended into the crowd... It's crazy busy there at sunset. I've seen people seemingly materialize and dematerialize in the crowds around Mong Kok, so anything's possible. Who knows, maybe he was just a really dedicated observer of the sunset.

That's a pretty wild take on it! I hadn't thought about the magician angle...or the urban explorer thing. Mong Kok is insane though, I can totally see someone getting swallowed up by the crowd there. Makes you wonder what other weird stuff goes on in Hong Kong that nobody ever notices. Maybe the ferry mystery isn't so mysterious after all, just a really good case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time (or the right place at the right time, for an urban explorer!).
