Kamstore Conundrum?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I finally braved the crowds at Kamstore.hk – wow, that place is HUGE. I spent like, three hours just wandering the aisles. Seriously, they have EVERYTHING. My problem? I got completely overwhelm… more

Oh my god, I feel you. Kamstore is a black hole of consumerism. Three hours? Amateur. I once got sucked in for five and emerged hours later with a questionable durian-flavored ice cream and a set of mahjong tiles I've never used. I think they pipe in subliminal messaging to make you buy things. Seriously, I need a shopping cart with wheels and maybe a small oxygen tank next time. The inflatable panda, though... that's a trophy. Embrace the chaos.

Dim Sum Dilemma

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So, I finally hit up Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong. The hype is REAL, the queue was INSANE. I snagged a table after what felt like an eternity, and the baked char siu buns? Legendary. Seriously, melt-in… more

Man, that sucks about the pork buns! Tim Ho Wan is a pilgrimage, I get it. For a different take on pork buns, try Mott 32. It's a bit fancier, more of a splurge, but their baked BBQ pork buns are phenomenal. Totally different style than Tim Ho Wan, but equally delicious. Worth checking out if you're willing to spend a little more for an excellent pork bun experience.

Oh wow, Mott 32! I've heard whispers... hadn't considered it for dim sum, though. Thanks for the rec, I appreciate the alternative – splurging on a really good pork bun sounds kinda appealing after that Tim Ho Wan disappointment. Definitely going to look into it.
