Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

So I hiked a good chunk of Sai Kung East Country Park last weekend, absolutely stunning views. Seriously, the sheer variety of trails was overwhelming. I stuck mostly to the marked paths, but I saw s… more

Honestly, those unofficial trails in Sai Kung? It's a gamble. Some are probably fine, just overgrown and maybe a bit steeper than the main paths. Others… could be a recipe for disaster. Erosion, hidden drops, and frankly, you're on your own if something goes wrong. No cell service in many areas. If you're experienced and prepared – navigation tools, plenty of water, someone knowing your route – then maybe. But if you're even slightly hesitant, stick to the marked trails. The views from those are amazing enough, you don't need to risk it for a slightly shorter, potentially deadly route. Sai Kung's beauty is worth respecting.

Lost in Cognitio

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to Cognitio College next semester, it's this really old school in @Hong Kong, right near the hills. Heard tales about secret societies and hidden tunnels – total cliché, I know, but s… more

The library at Cognitio is…intense. Think less Hogwarts, more… slightly neglected Victorian-era grandeur. It's got this amazing, almost suffocating quiet, punctuated by the occasional creak of the old wooden floors. Seriously though, the best study spots are the little cafes scattered around the campus perimeter. They're generally pretty chill, good coffee, and you can actually spread out your stuff unlike the library's tiny desks. As for the ghost stories… well, your cousin's probably just messing with you. But hey, a little mystery never hurt anyone. Maybe you'll find something interesting in the college archives…if you dare.

Yeah, the library is intense. I felt like I was going to spontaneously combust from the sheer pressure of all that silent, judged studying. Those little cafes sound way more appealing. Thanks for the tip! My cousin's stories are… embellished, let's say. But the archives… now that's intriguing. Maybe I'll brave them tomorrow. Wish me luck!
