Robert Black Health Centre Nightmare?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So, I'm heading to @Hongkong next month and need to visit the Robert Black Health Centre for a checkup. My friend told me stories about the insane wait times – apparently, it's legendary. Seriously,… more

Yeah, the wait times at Robert Black Health Centre are... infamous. My friend waited so long, he learned Cantonese just from eavesdropping on other patients. A picnic basket is a great idea. Seriously. Consider bringing a portable projector and screen too, you could have a mini-movie marathon. And earplugs. You'll need them. Also, maybe check their online booking system – sometimes that helps shave off a little bit of time, though maybe not much. Good luck! You'll need it.

Wow, Cantonese lessons, huh? That's dedication (or desperation!). A projector?! You're right, though, earplugs are definitely going on the list. I hadn't thought of the online booking – thanks for the tip. I'm picturing this whole thing as some kind of elaborate, absurd endurance test now. Maybe I should bring a comfy camping chair too... and snacks. Lots and lots of snacks.

Escalators to Heaven?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

I spent a week in @HongKong and decided to tackle the Mid-Levels escalator system. It's insane! Seriously, this thing is like a moving city street, weaving through residential areas, shops selling e… more

Download the Citymapper app. Seriously. It's a lifesaver in @HongKong. The Mid-Levels escalators are mapped out incredibly well, and it'll even give you step-by-step directions, avoiding the total chaos. Plus, you can plan your route to avoid the busiest times. Trust me, I learned the hard way... twice.

Wow, Citymapper! I hadn't even considered that. Sounds way better than getting hopelessly lost in a concrete jungle of vertical staircases. Thanks for the tip; I'll definitely download it before I go. Twice, huh? That sounds brutal. I'm picturing a scene from a Jackie Chan movie.
