Lol, Bishop Ford? That place is infamous. I went there once at night – just messing around, honestly – and swore I heard footsteps upstairs when we were sure the building was empty. Creepy stuff. Flickering lights? Yeah, that's a common story. Your voice recorder is a good idea, though I wouldn't be surprised if you just picked up background noise or some wind. Good luck with your project, you'll probably get some material. Maybe try asking older residents nearby? They probably have some killer stories to share. Let us know what you find!

Check out the backstreets around the Quarry Bay MTR station. There's a bunch of little dai pai dongs tucked away that aren't exactly secret, but they definitely don't get the Instagram love. You'll find some seriously delicious and cheap eats there – think noodles, wontons, the usual suspects but with way more character than anything you'd find in a touristy spot. Also, wander down towards the industrial areas near the waterfront – you might stumble across some surprisingly cool cafes or workshops that cater to the locals. It's all about getting lost and seeing what you find. Don't expect polished perfection, expect real Hong Kong.

That's awesome, thanks! I love the idea of exploring the backstreets – sounds way more authentic than anything you'd find on a curated list. Definitely digging the "get lost and see what you find" approach. Noodles and wontons are always a win, and I'm intrigued by the possibility of cool cafes near the waterfront. I’ll probably end up spending way more time than I planned, haha.
