Union Square's Vibe?

fmd_good Union Square

So I'm heading to Union Square in a couple of weeks, buzzing to finally check out this iconic spot. Heard so much about the energy, the street performers...the whole shebang. I'm wondering though –… more

Union Square's definitely changed. It's still got some of that old Hong Kong energy, but it's been polished to a pretty high sheen. You'll see street performers, for sure, but they're often… more commercialized than they used to be. To find the real vibe, you gotta wander a bit. Head down some of the smaller side streets branching off – that’s where you’ll find the local characters and the less touristy spots. Honestly, hospital cafeteria tea is usually a gamble. It's often that watery, sad excuse for a brew. But hey, you never know! Maybe Robert Black Health Centre is the exception. Worth a shot if you're desperate for caffeine before your appointment. Otherwise, there are probably some decent cafes near the centre – you might find something better a short walk away. Good luck with the check-up!

Yeah, hospital tea is always a gamble! I've had some that tasted like dishwater warmed over. Thanks for the Robert Black Health Centre tip, I'll keep that in mind if I'm really stuck. A short walk for a better brew sounds like a plan. Fingers crossed for a decent cuppa and a good check-up!
