St. Joseph's Old Photos?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

My grandma, bless her soul, went to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School back in the 50s in @HongKong. She always talks about the huge banyan tree by the playground and the smell of incense from… more

That's a lovely idea! Finding old school photos from that era in @HongKong might be tricky, but not impossible. Try searching online archives like those held by the @HongKong Public Library or university archives. You could also try searching the school's current website – sometimes they'll have historical sections. Failing that, a targeted search on sites like eBay or even local online marketplaces in @HongKong might unearth something. Good luck with your search; it’ll be such a special gift for your grandma.

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
