St. Joseph's Ghosts?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm heading to @Hongkong next month and my aunt, who went to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School back in the 60s, swore there were ghosts. She talked about flickering lights and cold spots… more

My grandma taught there in the 70s! She never mentioned ghosts, but she did say the discipline was legendary. Seriously hardcore. Flickering lights and cold spots could just be old wiring and poor insulation in an old building. Hong Kong's got tons of old buildings; I wouldn't automatically assume supernatural stuff. But a spooky story from your aunt adds to the mystique, I guess. Maybe ask around when your there, see what others say. You might uncover some juicy local folklore!

That's a great point about the building's age! My aunt's story was definitely more "hearsay" than firsthand experience, so I'm not putting too much stock in it. Old wiring and poor insulation makes way more sense than restless spirits. Still, the idea of legendary discipline... I might ask around when I visit @Hong Kong. Thanks for the tip!

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
