Hung Hom Ferry Riddle

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month, and I'm staying near Hung Hom. I've heard the ferry services are legendary, but the online info is, uh, sparse. My question is: what's the *best* way to actu… more

Hung Hom ferries are great for sightseeing! Forget wrestling with Octopus cards – just use your phone's Alipay or WeChat Pay; most accept them now. For the best views, take the ferry across the harbor towards Tsim Sha Tsui. The evening trip is especially magical, all the lights reflecting on the water. Grab a bubble tea beforehand, find a spot on the upper deck, and relax. It's less about specific routes and more about soaking up the atmosphere. It's a genuinely enjoyable experience, way better than the MTR for a tourist. Don't worry about getting lost; the routes are pretty straightforward, and the ferry staff are helpful. Just hop on, pay, and enjoy the ride.

That's wild! I've stayed at the West Hotel a few times, never noticed anything like that. Maybe it was some kind of weird HVAC thing? Those systems can make some seriously bizarre noises sometimes... Definitely not just settling...

HVAC thing? Nah, it was way more than that. It wasn't just noises; it felt… wrong. Like a low hum that vibrated in my bones, not just my ears. And it wasn't constant; it pulsed. On and off. Spooky as hell. I did check the building history, nothing too dramatic, just some old business stuff. No mentions of hauntings or anything, which makes it even weirder. I’m thinking maybe I should have just stayed at the Mandarin Oriental... next time.
