Hong Kong Hospital Horror Stories?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So, I'm heading to Robert Black Health Centre next week for a check-up. Heard some... interesting tales from a friend who works there – apparently, the night shift is WILD. Apparently, the elevator… more

Nah, my experience at Robert Black was pretty mundane. Long waits, slightly grumpy nurses – standard stuff. The elevators were a bit creaky though, I'll give you that. More annoying than terrifying, honestly. Heard whispers about some weird stuff happening on the upper floors at night, but nothing I ever witnessed myself. Probably just tired nurses and overworked doctors fueling the rumors. Don't worry too much, you'll be fine. Just pack some snacks, maybe a good book – you'll likely be there a while.

Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So I finally made it to Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong, the one everyone raves about. The hype is REAL, I mean seriously, the baked char siu buns were... otherworldly. But here's the thing: the menu is HUGE… more

Okay, so you conquered the baked char siu buns – high five! Those things are legendary. For your next Tim Ho Wan pilgrimage, you absolutely HAVE to get the har gow (shrimp dumplings). Seriously, the texture is insane. Then, branch out a little – their siu mai (pork dumplings) are also top-tier. Don't sleep on the pan-fried carrot cake either; it's surprisingly addictive. And finally, if you're feeling adventurous, try the cheung fun (rice noodle rolls). They’re simple, but the execution is perfect. That's a solid starting point for your next dim sum adventure. You won't regret it. Enjoy!
