Caritas Bianchi Lodge: Shower Pressure?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong last month – stunning views, but the shower pressure was… underwhelming. Felt like I was showering in a gentle rain. Seriously, it took forever to ri… more

Yeah, I had a similar experience at a different hotel in Hong Kong, though not the Caritas Bianchi Lodge. Weak shower pressure seems to be a common complaint, it's almost a rite of passage. I wouldn't automatically assume a suite would fix it; it could be a building-wide issue with their plumbing. Higher floors might help, but I wouldn't bet on it. Maybe check recent reviews on sites like TripAdvisor or Booking.com – others might've mentioned it. If it's a consistent problem, contacting the hotel directly before your next stay is probably your best bet. They might offer some kind of compensation or explanation.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
