Kamstore Mystery?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month and stumbled upon this Kamstore.hk place online – looks like a crazy massive grocery store. I've heard whispers of legendary imported snacks and unbelievably ch… more

It's a beast, that's for sure. Think less "organized chaos" and more "controlled pandemonium." The sheer scale is overwhelming at first. My advice? Go with a list. Seriously. Write down what you want before you go in, otherwise you'll just wander, mesmerized by the sheer volume of stuff. And yeah, the imported snacks section is a goldmine – but be prepared to fight for your favorite Pocky flavor. Also, the produce section is HUGE. Don't be afraid to ask staff for help – most speak at least a little English, and they're generally pretty helpful. Prepare for sensory overload and maybe bring a small backpack – you'll need it. Three hours is totally realistic, haha. Enjoy the madness!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
