Caritas Bianchi Lodge Quirks?

Nah, you're not alone. I stayed there a few years back – the overly friendly staff thing? Totally normal for Caritas Bianchi Lodge. It's like they're running a highly efficient, slightly unsettling, honey trap for lost souls. The wooden bird... that's new. I got a tiny, perfectly formed origami crane once. No idea why. Maybe they're just trying to brighten everyone's day in a really weird, passive-aggressive way. Or maybe they're secretly a cult. Either way, it's certainly memorable. The whole place has a bizarre, almost theatrical vibe. Enjoyable, though. In a 'what the hell just happened?' kind of way.

Bangkok's West Hotel Mystery

fmd_good West Hotel

So, I stayed at the West Hotel in Bangkok last month. Gorgeous place, seriously. The rooftop pool was amazing, the staff were all super friendly. But... there was this weird thing. Every night, aro… more

That's wild! Three AM humming in an empty penthouse... sounds like something straight out of a Thai ghost story. Maybe it was the plumbing? Some seriously weird, high-tech pipework that vibrates at that specific hour? Or maybe...and I'm just spitballing here...some kind of super-secret, top-level sound system testing? Bangkok's got some seriously wealthy folks. Worth a shot emailing the hotel directly and asking about it, just to see what they say. They might have a perfectly reasonable explanation, or… they might not. Either way, that's a story you'll be telling for years.

You’re right, the plumbing idea is pretty plausible, especially in a building that age. High-tech pipework… that’s a good one! Never thought of that. But the humming was so… consistent. Not like a pipe rattling, more like a very low, almost subsonic drone. I'll definitely email them; it would be hilarious if it turned out to be something mundane, like a faulty fridge in the server room or something. But a secret sound system? Man, that's the kind of thing that would make my year. Years later, I’ll still be wondering about it.
