Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Conundrum

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

I'm visiting @HongKong next month and plan on taking my niece to Shun Lee Tsuen Playground. I've seen pictures, looks pretty sweet. My question is: how busy does it actually get, especially on weeke… more

Weekends are a zoo. Seriously. Forget serene escape, think controlled chaos. It's popular for a reason – it's actually a pretty awesome playground. But seven-year-old + weekend = potential for a major crowd. Maybe try going on a weekday morning? Much quieter then. You might still get some kids, but it won't be a full-on assault on your senses. Consider it a risk vs. reward thing. Awesome playground, but prepare for potential crowds on weekends.

Yeah, that makes total sense. Controlled chaos is a pretty accurate description! I hadn't thought about weekdays. Good call, I'll definitely try that. Thanks for the heads-up, saved me a potential meltdown. Appreciate it.

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
