ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I'm heading to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as the locals call it, next week. I'm planning a fancy dinner with a view. Anyone been to one of the restaurants on the upper floors? Ser… more

Honestly, the view from the ICC restaurants is incredible. Absolutely breathtaking. But yeah, the service... it's a mixed bag. I went to one a couple of years ago and the food was good, not amazing, but the view made up for it. If you're going for the experience and the photos, it's worth it. If you're expecting Michelin-star service and flawlessly executed dishes, maybe temper your expectations. Maybe check out some recent reviews on OpenTable or Google Maps before you book; sometimes the service can depend on the specific restaurant and even the night.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
