Ma On Shan Mystery

fmd_good Ma On Shan Country Park

So, I hiked Ma On Shan Country Park last weekend. Absolutely stunning views, especially from the top. I even saw some really cool birds – seriously, they were vibrant! But I found this weird, almost… more

Sounds wild! Ma On Shan's got some serious history tucked away. Maybe it's a forgotten boundary marker, or even a remnant of some old folk tale or ritual site. There's a lot of that kind of thing still around in the more remote parts of the park, things that just don't get written about much. Could be worth checking out some local history forums or maybe even contacting the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department – they might have some archives on unusual finds in the park. Failing that, Google Image searching similar carvings might turn up something... you never know.

That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought about contacting the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. Local history forums are a good shout too – I'll see what I can dig up there. The Google Images idea is pretty smart, I should of thought of that myself. Thanks for the help! I’ll let you know if I find anything interesting... fingers crossed!

Finding the Best Noodle Spot Near HSU

fmd_good Hong Kong Shue Yan University

So, I'm heading to Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HSU) next semester. Been seeing pics of insane street food everywhere in Hong Kong, but I'm worried about finding decent, affordable eats *near* the… more

Honestly, forget the fancy stuff near campus. Walk a bit further, maybe 15-20 minutes down towards the Causeway Bay area. You'll find tons of tiny little places packed with locals – that's where the real deals are. Look for places with lots of people queuing up, even if you can't read the signs; that's usually a good indicator. Don't be shy, just point and nod – they're used to tourists. You'll find amazing noodles for cheap, guaranteed. Trust me on this one. You’ll discover some serious culinary gems that way!

That's great advice! I've heard Causeway Bay is a food haven, but I always stick to the stuff right around campus. 20 minutes is doable. Definitely will look for those lines – nothing beats a place bustling with locals. Thanks for the tip!
