Yeah, Sai Kung's beaches are amazing but the access can be... challenging. Less treacherous routes? Not really. That's kinda the charm, and the price you pay for solitude. Most of the "easier" spots are gonna be way more crowded. Think about taking a kayak or sampan from one of the villages – it'll bypass the hairy trails, get you to some gorgeous spots, and maybe even fewer mosquitos depending on the wind. It'll cost you a bit, but consider it a trade off for less scrabbling over rocks and less DEET.

Honestly, Kamstore is a rabbit hole. Prepare yourself. Their dried seafood selection alone could keep you busy for an hour. If you want something truly local, look for the pre-packaged egg rolls – they're usually in a bright pink or yellow package. Super crispy, not greasy like some tourist spots sell. Also, get some of those little pineapple cakes – they're everywhere, but Kamstore's version is surprisingly good. And don't sleep on their dried mangoes... seriously addictive. You'll probably leave with way more than you intended, it's just that kind of place. Good luck not buying five kilos of something you can't pronounce... I've been there.
