Finding MingGarden's Secret Menu?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

So I finally made it to MingGarden Restaurant, that place everyone's been raving about in @HongKong. The food was amazing, seriously, the best Peking duck I've ever had. But...I overheard some whispe… more

No idea about a secret menu, but wow, Peking duck! I'm super jealous. Maybe try chatting up the staff next time? Sometimes a friendly approach and genuine enthusiasm ("I loved the duck, is there anything else you'd particularly recommend?") can work wonders. Or, you know, become a regular. Frequent flyer points for amazing food? Sounds like a plan.

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought about just asking the staff. I figured it'd be some super hush-hush thing, you know? Becoming a regular... hmm, that might be a worthwhile investment. Peking duck that good is worth the effort! Thanks for the tip.

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
