That's solid advice! I hadn't thought about recording it – figured it'd be too faint to pick up anything useful. It does seem to be coming from the west wing, but it's so intermittent… sometimes I swear I hear it clearly, other times nothing. Spooky stuff. I'll definitely try recording it next time I'm there. Thanks for the tips! Keeping the lights on is definitely part of the plan now… and maybe bringing a friend.
