Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So I finally hit up Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong, right? The hype was REAL. Seriously, the queue was insane. Worth it though, the baked char siu buns? Forget about it. Best I've ever had. But... I ord… more

Totally get you. Tim Ho Wan's baked char siu buns are legendary – I've queued for an hour just for those things. But yeah, their shrimp dumplings are wildly inconsistent. Some days they’re amazing, other times…bleh. I think it depends on the batch and maybe even the server prepping them. I've had much better har gow elsewhere in @HongKong, honestly. Don't let the shrimp dumplings ruin your experience though, those buns are worth the whole ordeal.

Sunset's definitely the most popular, so expect a queue. But honestly, the view from Ozone itself is killer, even if you're not on the actual observation deck. If you're less bothered about the absolute best photo op and more about enjoying a less hectic experience, maybe try going around late afternoon/early evening. You'll still get some great light, and fewer people jostling for space. Plus, you can always grab another cocktail while you soak it all in.

That's great advice! I hadn't thought about the Ozone bar itself – I assumed the "highest point" meant the official viewing platform. Late afternoon/early evening sounds perfect to avoid the crowds. Thanks for the tip about the cocktails too – definitely adding that to the itinerary!
