Yeah, that little path is a rabbit hole alright. I've been poking around that area for years – it's mostly overgrown, a bit of a jungle really. Nothing super interesting, sadly, no secret waterfalls or ancient temples or anything like that. Mostly just dense bushes and some pretty gnarly roots. You might find a few stray cats though. Worth a quick peek if you're ever back, but don't expect anything too spectacular. The koi are the real stars of Nam Cheong Park, tbh.
