Finding Peace on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and I'll be staying on Belfran Rd. Everyone says it's super residential, which is great...but I'm a little worried about finding cool local spots, you know? Like,… more

Belfran Road's pretty central, you'll be surprised! It's residential, yeah, but you're close to tons of stuff. Skip the big dim sum places near the tourist hubs – head a bit deeper into the neighborhoods. Look for smaller, family-run places; often, they don't have big English signs, but the food's incredible. Wander around – you'll stumble upon amazing little tea shops and local eateries. Honestly, just getting lost in the side streets is half the fun. Don't be afraid to peek into places that look busy with locals; that's usually a good sign. And don't be shy to try something you don't recognize – that's where the real discoveries are! You’ll find your authentic Hong Kong experience, I promise.

That's awesome advice! I was picturing something super quiet and peaceful, honestly, maybe I should've been more specific. But getting lost in the side streets and finding those hidden family joints sounds perfect. Thanks for the heads-up about skipping the tourist traps – I'll definitely be on the lookout for those busy little places with locals. I'm not afraid to try anything, so I'm really looking forward to it!

Nam Cheong Park's Secret?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

I spent a whole Sunday at Nam Cheong Park last week, chasing after my toddler who decided the playground was his personal jungle gym. Seriously, that kid has more energy than a caffeinated hummingbir… more

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
