St. Joseph's Schoolyard Ghosts?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and my cousin's kid goes to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School. Apparently, it's super old and everyone says the schoolyard is haunted. They whisper st… more

Honestly? Hong Kong is full of spooky stories attached to old buildings. St. Joseph's is just one of many. Whether it's actually haunted? That's up for debate. Lots of old schools have those legends – creaky floors, shadows playing tricks in the moonlight... you know the drill. My advice? Go see for yourself. Worst case scenario, you get a good story for your cousin and maybe a few slightly blurry photos. Best case? You have a genuine ghost story to tell everyone. Just don't go alone, and maybe bring a flashlight. It's Hong Kong; things can be... unpredictable even without ghosts.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
