Belfran Road's a bit off the beaten path, yeah. You'll find more local spots if you head towards the residential areas just a bit north or south of the road itself. Don't be afraid to wander down smaller side streets – that's where the real gems are. Look for places with mostly Cantonese signage; that's usually a good indicator of authenticity. Also, check out some of the smaller dai pai dongs (open-air food stalls) if you see any; they often serve up incredible, cheap meals. Happy eating!

Early mornings, like before 9 am, are usually your best bet. People tend to procrastinate on doctor's appointments, so the later it gets, the busier it'll be. Also, try booking online if they offer that—sometimes online appointments get you in faster. And bring a good book or something to keep you occupied, because even early mornings can have a bit of a wait.
