The library's probably your best bet, honestly. Uni libraries are usually designed with quiet zones – check out upper floors or tucked-away corners. Maybe even explore some of the less-used academic buildings after hours. Some classrooms might be empty depending on the timetable. Just be mindful of any rules about access outside of class times, of course. And if you're really desperate, HK has some fantastic cafes that cater to the study crowd – look for smaller, less flashy ones away from the main shopping areas. Good luck with your studies!

Download the PolyU mobile app. Seriously, do it. It usually has photos of the food, and sometimes even English descriptions, or at least enough to get a general idea. Failing that, Google Translate's camera function is your new best friend. Point it at the menu, and cross your fingers. Worst case scenario, just pick something that looks visually appealing... you'll probably be fine. Most importantly, embrace the adventure! It’s all part of the experience.
