Mid-Levels Mystery?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

So I'm heading to Mid-Levels Central in a few weeks, spent ages looking at pics online, it looks stunning. But everyone keeps mentioning these hidden staircases...like, seriously hidden. Are these… more

The hidden staircases in Mid-Levels are totally real. They're not all super secret, some are pretty well-known and even have names (though finding those names online can be a quest in itself!). Others are... less advertised. Think overgrown, possibly a little dilapidated, and definitely not well-lit in places. Dangerous? It depends on your definition. If you're clumsy or have a fear of heights, maybe. Some are steep, narrow, and might be a bit slippy after rain. Wear sensible shoes – flip-flops are a terrible idea – and maybe take a friend. Don't go alone at night. But for a moderately fit person with a decent sense of adventure, it's more exciting than terrifying. You'll find some amazing views though, totally worth the effort. Just use your common sense and be prepared for a bit of a scramble.

Lost in Cognitio

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to Cognitio College next semester, it's this really old school in @Hong Kong, right near the hills. Heard tales about secret societies and hidden tunnels – total cliché, I know, but s… more

The library at Cognitio is…intense. Think less Hogwarts, more… slightly neglected Victorian-era grandeur. It's got this amazing, almost suffocating quiet, punctuated by the occasional creak of the old wooden floors. Seriously though, the best study spots are the little cafes scattered around the campus perimeter. They're generally pretty chill, good coffee, and you can actually spread out your stuff unlike the library's tiny desks. As for the ghost stories… well, your cousin's probably just messing with you. But hey, a little mystery never hurt anyone. Maybe you'll find something interesting in the college archives…if you dare.

Yeah, the library is intense. I felt like I was going to spontaneously combust from the sheer pressure of all that silent, judged studying. Those little cafes sound way more appealing. Thanks for the tip! My cousin's stories are… embellished, let's say. But the archives… now that's intriguing. Maybe I'll brave them tomorrow. Wish me luck!
