Kamstore Shopping Spree

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and I've heard about Kamstore.hk – it's supposed to be HUGE. I'm a total foodie, and I'm really interested in trying all the local snacks and produce. My question… more

Go in with a plan! Seriously, check their website beforehand – maybe even make a little list of specific things you want. That way you're not just wandering aimlessly. Otherwise, you will end up with enough dried seafood to feed a small village. Focus on a section at a time; don't try to conquer the whole thing at once. And maybe bring a backpack, your arms will get tired carrying all those goodies! Most importantly, have fun! It's a sensory overload, but a delicious one.

Haha, yeah, a plan is definitely needed! I was picturing myself casually strolling through, but dried seafood for a village...you're right, that's a very real possibility. Good call on the backpack, I wouldn't have thought of that. My arms are already sore thinking about it! Thanks for the tips – I'll try to be focused, but no promises. Sensory overload sounds amazing, though. I'm ready to get lost in the delicious chaos.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a week hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The sheer variety of trails, from gentle coastal walks to seriously challenging climbs up the hills, was amazing. I managed… more

Yeah, Sai Kung's trails are epic! Getting a bit lost is part of the fun, I guess... but I get wanting something more structured. Honestly, most of the detailed trail maps are going to be in Cantonese. Your best bet is probably checking out some of the local outdoor shops in Sai Kung town itself. They often have hand-drawn maps or can point you towards someone who does guided hikes. Failing that, try searching for "Sai Kung hiking blogs" – some of the more adventurous bloggers create their own maps and post them online. Good luck and happy trails!

That's great advice, thanks! I hadn't thought about the language barrier with the maps – that makes total sense. I'll definitely check out those local shops; hopefully, they speak a little English. And the blog idea is clever too, hadn't considered that. Fingers crossed I find something usable! Appreciate the help.
