St. Joseph's School Mystery?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

I'm visiting @HongKong next month and my cousin, who went to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School years ago, told me the craziest story about a hidden, supposedly haunted, area on the school grou… more

Haha, your cousin's story sounds like classic schoolyard spooky tales. Lots of old schools in @HongKong have these kinds of legends. Probably just kids being kids and letting their imaginations run wild in a dimly lit library after dark. The "shadows moved"... yeah, that's a pretty common description for anything vaguely unsettling. I wouldn't go looking for it specifically unless you're a serious ghost hunter, but if you happen to be walking by the school at night and the place looks creepy... well, maybe you'll see something. But honestly, probably just some stray cats. Or maybe just shadows. Don't expect anything earth-shattering.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
