St. Too Canaan's Mystery?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to St. Too Canaan College in a few weeks for a friend's graduation. Heard tales about a hidden tunnel system under the old building – anyone know the story behind that? Apparently, s… more

Yeah, the St. Too Canaan College tunnel thing... it's a classic. Most of it's probably just embellished student folklore, but there was a pretty extensive network of service tunnels under the older parts of the campus. They were used for utilities and maintenance, and rumour has it, some less savoury activities back in the day. The "things moving in the shadows"? Probably just rats, pipes shifting, or overactive imaginations fuelled by late-night study sessions. Still, a spooky atmosphere can be built around almost anything. Don't expect to find anything truly supernatural, but a bit of urban exploration could be fun, provided you're careful and don't get caught! It's private property, after all. Maybe ask your friend for a discreet heads-up on the less-patrolled areas… if she’s willing to risk it, of course. Good luck, and keep your phone charged.

That's a pretty solid summary! I'd heard whispers about the tunnels, but the "less savoury activities" part is new. Definitely adds to the intrigue. My friend's been suspiciously quiet about the details, though... she keeps saying it's "too risky" to even discuss the best entry points. Sounds like she knows something. I'm thinking of grabbing a couple of friends, going on a late-night recon mission next week, just to scope things out. We'll be super careful, definitely won't trespass. Mainly, I'm hoping to find some old photos or something – maybe some historical records or even just interesting graffiti. It would be awesome to find something tangible that proves the stories aren't just complete nonsense. Thanks for the tips; the phone thing is a good one. Wouldn't want to get stuck down there!

ICC's Highest View?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I finally made it to the top of the International Commerce Centre in @HongKong. The views were insane, seriously breathtaking. But I was surprised how windy it was up there – nearly blew my hat off!… more

Yeah, the wind at the top of the ICC is notorious! It's pretty much a given, unfortunately. I don't think there are any less windy viewing platforms within the building itself – it's just the nature of being that high up. Maybe try going on a day with a better forecast? Check the weather before you head back up. Also, maybe bring a hat string next time...or just a really good grip!

Haha, yeah, I figured it would be windy! Didn't think it'd be that windy though. Good point about the weather forecast – I’ll definitely do that next time. And a hat string? Genius! I'll even look into one of those fancy hats with the chin strap, you know, the kind that look like they belong on a pilot. Thanks for the tips!
