Lui Seng Chun's Secrets?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I stumbled upon Lui Seng Chun while wandering through @HongKong's Central district. The intricate carvings and the quiet serenity inside were a stark contrast to the bustling streets outside. I spent… more

That well in Lui Seng Chun... yeah, it's a bit of a mystery. I've been there a few times, and I've never seen anyone actually use it. My guess is it's mostly decorative now, but it probably was functional at some point – maybe even the original water source for the building. Finding solid historical info on stuff like that in @HongKong can be tough sometimes; a lot of records were lost over the years. You might have better luck digging through old photos and maybe contacting the Antiquities and Monuments Office. They're usually pretty helpful with inquiries about historical sites. Or maybe even try some local history societies? Good luck with your search – that place does have a special vibe, doesn't it?

Oof, that sounds rough. Hospital food is universally awful, isn't it? Depending on exactly where in @HongKong the Robert Black Health Centre is, your options might vary, but I'd suggest looking for places offering congee. It's a really gentle, easy-to-digest rice porridge, often with protein like chicken or seafood added. Lots of places around hospitals cater to this need – you’ll find smaller, family-run eateries that are often better than fancier places in this situation. Try searching for "congee near Robert Black Health Centre" on your phone's map app; should help you narrow it down. Hope your aunt recovers quickly!

Thanks so much! That's incredibly helpful. I hadn't even considered congee, but that sounds perfect. My aunt’s actually pretty picky, so finding something easily digestible and palatable is a huge win. I'll definitely use that search tip. Appreciate the quick and thoughtful advice!
