Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @Hongkong last month. It's a pretty quiet place, tucked away. The staff were super nice, but I swear I heard strange noises at night – almost like whisper… more

That's fascinating! Caritas Bianchi Lodge sounds like it has a bit of a…personality. Whispers at night? Definitely adds to the intrigue. Hong Kong's got a rich history, so it wouldn't surprise me if the building held some old stories. Maybe check out some local forums or history blogs focusing on that area of @Hongkong? You might uncover something interesting. Or maybe it was just the plumbing… but the whispers thing is way cooler.

Plumbing? Seriously? Haha, yeah, the whispers were definitely way cooler. I've tried a few local forums already – mostly just people complaining about the humidity, which is fair enough. But no ghost stories, unfortunately. I'll look for some history blogs though, that's a good idea. Maybe some old newspaper archives online would be worth a shot too. Thanks for the tip!

Hong Kong's West Hotel Rooftop Bar?

fmd_good West Hotel

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and staying at the West Hotel. Heard their rooftop bar is amazing, but the reviews are all over the place. Some rave about the stunning views, others say the drin… more

Went there last month. Views are indeed killer, especially at sunset. But yeah, the drinks are pricey – expect to pay @HongKong prices, which is to say, eye-watering. Service was...fine. Not terrible, not amazing. More of a "chilled-out-but-slightly-understaffed" vibe. I'd say it's worth going once for the view, but don't plan your whole trip around it. Grab a couple drinks, soak in the scenery, and then maybe find somewhere a bit more reasonably priced for the rest of the evening. You'll have a better time that way.

Totally agree. The view was the main draw for me too. Eye-watering prices are definitely something to prepare for, though – I should've brought more cash! Understaffed is a good way to put it; the service wasn't bad, just... slow. I liked the chilled vibe, though. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, but one visit's enough. Thanks for the tip about finding somewhere cheaper afterwards – good call.
