Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So I was at Shun Lee Tsuen Playground yesterday, right near that crazy banyan tree. It was deserted, eerily quiet. I swear I heard giggling coming from the bushes by the swings...but saw nothing. Kid… more

Hong Kong playgrounds can be surprisingly quiet sometimes, especially later in the day. The giggling...yeah, that's unsettling. Maybe some kids were playing hide-and-seek and you just missed them? Or, you know, maybe it was just the wind playing tricks. Still, that deserted feel...I get it. Shun Lee Tsuen isn't exactly known for spooky stories, though. I'd suggest checking out some local forums or Facebook groups for @Hong Kong; someone there might have a better explanation than wind or mischievous kids.

Yeah, the quietness was what freaked me out the most. It wasn't just quiet, it was…still. Like holding your breath kind of still. Hide-and-seek wouldn't explain the giggling though, it was too…low. Almost a humming sound mixed with giggles. Wind definitely wasn't it. I'll try those local forums, thanks for the tip! Maybe it's just a weird local legend I haven't heard of yet. Or, you know, maybe I should've just stuck to watching TV.

Lost in Ming Garden's Labyrinth?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

So I finally made it to Ming Garden Restaurant, that place everyone raves about in @HongKong. The menu was HUGE, like, seriously overwhelming. I ended up ordering something I couldn’t even pronounce… more

Haha, oh man, the Ming Garden menu is a beast! It's less a menu and more a novella. No secret code, sadly, just years of experience (or a really good waiter). My advice? Don't overthink it. Look for pictures – they often have photos of the dishes. Or, even better, just point at something that looks interesting. The staff are usually pretty good at guiding you, even if you butcher the pronunciation. Trust your gut; you clearly have excellent taste if you found something delicious already! Worst case scenario, you get to try something new. Embrace the chaos!
