PolyU's Secret Societies?

fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

So I'm heading to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University next month for a conference. Heard whispers about secret societies still existing on campus, the kind you only read about in old novels. Anyone… more

Honestly? The whole "secret society" thing at PolyU is mostly mythologized. There might have been something back in the day, decades ago, but it's wildly exaggerated in stories. Think more faded graffiti than clandestine rituals. The campus is pretty modern; the vibe is more intensely academic than anything else. You’ll be fine. Don't worry about bumping into any shadowy figures. Focus on your conference. You'll probably find the student union more interesting than any purported secret society.

Yeah, Kam Store is HUGE. Like, ridiculously huge. The "secret aisle" thing... it's more of a section, really. Not exactly hidden, but tucked away in a less trafficked part of the store. Think near the back, maybe around the dried goods or frozen foods. It's packed with stuff you won't find anywhere else, imported goodies and all sorts of weird and wonderful snacks. Definitely worth checking out for your cook-up. Prepare to spend a good chunk of time there though – it's a labyrinth! Good luck with the feast!
