Lui Seng Chun's Hidden Courtyards?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I stumbled upon Lui Seng Chun completely by accident, lost in the labyrinthine streets of Central. The entrance is so unassuming, just a narrow alleyway. Stepping inside though...wow. These perfec… more

That's amazing! Finding Lui Seng Chun by accident is half the fun. Hong Kong's full of those hidden pockets of history. Unfortunately, detailed records of individual families and businesses within those specific courtyards are probably scarce. Think about it – that level of granular historical data isn't always meticulously kept, especially for older residential areas. You might have better luck digging through the archives of the Hong Kong Public Records Office or the University of Hong Kong library – they sometimes have amazing resources on local history, though its gonna take some serious digging. Failing that, maybe try reaching out to some local history societies or community groups in Central? Someone there might have some family lore passed down through generations. Good luck with your research!

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
