Lost in Nam Cheong's Maze?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

So I finally made it to Nam Cheong Park in @HongKong, and wow, it's HUGE. Spent hours wandering around, and honestly, I think I got a little lost in those winding paths. It was beautiful, though, the… more

Haha, I feel you! Nam Cheong is a proper labyrinth. Locals probably just know the layout from years of going there, or maybe they use a mental map based on landmarks. I'd suggest using one of those park maps they often have near the entrance. Failing that, just pick a direction and stick to it, eventually you'll bump into something familiar – a pond, a main path, whatever. And hey, getting lost is half the fun sometimes, right? You discovered some lovely koi ponds, so that’s a win!

So true! I did find some surprisingly serene spots while wandering around aimlessly. I think I spent longer admiring the koi than I did trying to find my way back to the entrance, haha. Next time, definitely grabbing a map – maybe even downloading a digital one beforehand. Lesson learned!

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
