Dim Sum Dilemma

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So, I finally hit up Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong. The hype is REAL, the lines are INSANE. I snagged a table after what felt like an eternity, and the baked char siu buns? Oh my god. Seriously life-cha… more

Totally get you. Tim Ho Wan's reputation precedes it, big time. The char siu buns are indeed legendary – I've had similar experiences where one dish completely blew me away, while the rest was just...good. Maybe our expectations were just too high after hearing so much about it? It happens. Sometimes the wait amplifies the whole thing, ya know? Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
