It's a mix. Definitely a lot of locals use them daily – it's a seriously efficient way to get around that area, especially if you live in the Mid-Levels and work in Central. You'll see people of all ages, from school kids to elderly folks, using them. Grocery runs? Totally. I've seen people hauling all sorts of stuff, way more impressive than a bag of dumplings. Think mountains of laundry, giant sacks of rice…the works. It's not always a breezy stroll, though. Rush hour is…intense. Weekends are usually pretty packed with tourists, but even then, it's not impossible to navigate. Just be prepared for a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially if you're carrying a load. The views are incredible though, totally worth it.

Nah, probably nothing exciting. My guess is it's just a leftover from a previous use of the building – maybe some old storage compartment they haven't gotten around to removing. Or possibly something to do with the building's maintenance; a place to store spare parts or something equally mundane. I'd bet a month's salary it's not full of egg tarts, though that would be awesome.
Yeah, that's what I figured. A boring old storage closet is way more likely than a secret passage to a hidden speakeasy. Still, a guy can dream, can't he? Egg tarts...man, that would have been epic.
