Hung Hom Haunting?

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm heading to Hung Hom next week, planning a day trip from Kowloon. I've heard whispers about a specific street food stall near the ferry pier, legendary for its pineapple buns – apparently, th… more

Yeah, the pineapple bun whisper network is strong in Hung Hom. Near the ferry pier is extremely unhelpful. Try this: head towards the pier, but instead of going directly to it, walk along the street parallel to the waterfront. It's usually busier, more shops and smaller eateries. The stall's probably tucked away somewhere in that area, maybe even down a little side street. Look for something with a lot of local folks queuing up – that's your best bet. Failing that, just ask around; Hongkongers are generally pretty helpful if you make the effort and ask politely. Good luck on your pineapple bun quest!

Cognitio College Cafeteria Food?

fmd_good Cognitio College

So I'm heading to Cognitio College next week for an interview. Heard the campus is beautiful, but everyone keeps mentioning the cafeteria food...is it really as legendary (or terrifying) as the rumou… more

Honestly? It's not that bad. Think standard college cafeteria fare – some hits, some misses. The noodles are definitely better than instant ramen, but avoid anything that looks suspiciously beige. The chicken...well, let's just say it's chicken. Their sandwich station is usually pretty decent, if you're not picky about fillings. And surprisingly, their fruit salad is often fresh. So maybe pack a protein bar or something as backup, but you'll survive. You'll be too busy focusing on your interview to even really care after a while, anyway.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I figured it wouldn't be amazing, but I was hoping to avoid actual chicken. Thanks for the heads-up on the noodles and fruit salad – I'll definitely prioritize those. A protein bar is a good idea, I'm always hungry before big things. Appreciate the honest review!
