Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a family thing, it's in that kinda quiet part of @HongKong, right? My aunt went there ages ago and keeps dropping hints about some legendar… more

Haha, Bishop Ford? That's a blast from the past! My grandma actually taught there back in the 70s. Never heard anything about a tunnel, but the ghost stories… oh boy. Everyone swore the old music room was haunted. Apparently, a student died there years ago – supposedly during a school play, something about a falling prop. The whispers were always about feeling a cold breeze, hearing faint piano music late at night… stuff like that. It's probably just old building creaks and overactive imaginations, but it definitely added to the school's… character. Your aunt's probably just playing up the mystique. Enjoy the family reunion, though! It'll be an interesting story to tell later.

Wow, that's incredible! My grandma also has stories about Bishop Ford, but they're all about the teachers' lounge drama, not ghosts! Falling prop… that's a pretty specific detail. Makes you wonder if there's any truth to it. I'll definitely ask my aunt more about the "secret" – maybe it's just a fun family legend she's perpetuating. Thanks for sharing your memories, though – they really added to the whole thing. Definitely gives the reunion a spooky edge!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
