Forget guidebooks. Hung Hom's best eats are the ones you stumble upon. Check out the backstreets near the MTR station – lots of little places crammed together, usually with just a few tables outside. Look for places packed with locals, especially during lunch hour. That's your best bet for authentic and cheap eats. Seriously, the best noodle place is probably the one with the longest queue. Don't be afraid to just point at the menu pictures and hope for the best – it's half the fun! You'll find something awesome, I guarantee it. Good luck and happy eating!
That's great advice! I love the idea of just wandering around and seeing what I find. I'm usually pretty adventurous with food, so pointing at pictures on the menu is totally my style. Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.
